Moss Rock Festival and Mountain Brook Art Show Nov. 23-Dec. 23rd at the Summit

Happy (almost) Thanksgiving and hope you are all getting ready for Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Happy Kwannza, etc.

Right now it is almost Thanksgiving Day and I have so many painting projects to do….👩🏼‍🎨 that casseroles and pies seem to be taking a distant third and fourth place on my list.

For those whom I met at the Moss Rock Festival, it was a pleasure and thanks for visiting my booth and checking out my artwork. Several of you said you would like a commissioned piece of work, so get with me soon so I can get you on my calendar.

As for all the established friends who came by and visited and purchased art, thanks so very much for your ongoing support and friendship, it means the world to me! But what a great festival this event always is, not just for residents of the Preserve, but for all who come to try the food, sample the beer, climb a rock wall, take a nature hike….not to mention the great art that was presented by so many hardworking artists of all venues…from clay and ceramics to wood turning and photography, there was truly something for everyone.

Please come check out the Mountain Brook Art Association Show, which begins the day after Thanksgiving this year, (yep! Black Friday!) and I will be there that first day. 😬 I must be crazy to have signed up for that, but it should be enlightening to see if we have customers outside of those just trying to escape the madness of the shopping experience all around.

We will be at The Summit, in the old Pier One, next to the AMC theater….so if you want some piece and quiet, come see art made by artist from all around the B’ham. Actually most of the members, like myself, don’t live in Mountain Brook, but it is a well-established organization with wonderful leadership and is very supportive. Prices start at $10 and there are beautiful paintings, cards, holiday decorations for your Christmas tree. The juried show runs from November 23 - December 23rd, Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. so come check it out!
